Google's release of the YouTube charts for skippable ads in H1 2020 marked a pivotal moment for Opium's imoo Z6 commercial. The ad promotes the cutting-edge tech brand catering to kids, imoo, which was a brand with less than a year under its belt, reached the fourth position on the Indonesia YouTube Ads Leaderboard. This accomplishment is made even more remarkable by the competition it faced, battling against established and renowned brands in the Indonesian market.

Suyanti Zhuang, the Brand Manager for imoo Indonesia, shared insights into the creative process behind the ad's ideation. The objective was to shine a spotlight on the imoo Watch Phone Z6’s standout product features, cleverly woven into relatable daily activities of kids.

The ad, directed by Ray F. Pakpahan seamlessly underscores how the product's attributes are purposefully designed to facilitate communication and enhance children's safety. The spotlight is cast on the make friends, video call and location check functionalities, showcasing how imoo's technology caters to the unique needs of young users as well as parents.

What sets this achievement apart is that all the ads on this chart, including Opium's imoo Z6 commercial, are skippable ads, allowing viewers to opt out by selecting 'skip ads.' However, the narratives spun by these brands have enticed viewers to stay engaged and watch the ads in their entirety.

Opium's influence extended beyond the Indonesian market, as the production company also delivered its production magic for the Thai market. This expansion showcases Opium's commitment to fostering creativity and resonating with audiences beyond borders.
